Kaggle has formed a new partnership with the Wikimedia Foundation to provide access to an open dataset primarily containing Wikipedia content. The initial offerings of around 114 GB span two languages: approximately 79.57 GB for English and 34.01 GB for French, with data chunked into manageable sizes. While many users see this as a positive step towards facilitating machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) projects, there are concerns about the dataset's size and the reliability of Wikipedia as a source of information. Users also express frustration with the user interface of Kaggle, feeling that it hinders engagement and exploration of the platform. There is a call for improvements not just in the dataset availability but also in the overall usability of Kaggle.
